Mijares injury changes “The Double Assault” PPV line-up

Latest news buzzing from news stands, televisions and through the internet in relation to the upcoming bout of Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. vs. Marvin Sonsona had some changes. The original Christian Mijares fight was canceled due to a broken eardrum from his last fight on December 12.

“After looking forward to coming back and restoring his rightful place among the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world,” KO Entertainment president Ignacio “Nacho” Huizar explained, “Cristian Mijares was crushed with disappointment to learn a broken eardrum he suffered December 12 hasn’t healed properly and doctors wouldn’t clear him to fight Feb. 27.”

"The Double Assault" pay-per-view showdown has immediately finds an alternative through a world-class show in Guadalajara, Mexico. The new line-up features two world championship fights, first the WBC Light Flyweight Championship of Rodel Mayol vs. Omar Romero and second the 10-round WBC Youth lightweight championship boxing between Daniel Estrada vs. Angel Alirio Rivero.
